Simple Streetstyle

So I have a confession…I have a new obsession with bomber jackets! I have collected them in multiple colors and this was my first time wearing this nude one. I attended a fashion networking event in my hometown and I decided to go with a laid back look, like always. I wore my new light wash highwaisted skinnies with a tied ribbed crop top (yes, it came already tied permanently). These are one of the most comfortable jeans I own. I matched my favorite pair of booties with my bomber, because as you dolls know, I am obsessed with color blocking! I love the nude and olive color together and they are becoming my favorite color combo. To finish this simple look, I wore a brown snakeskin choker with silver spikes.

Fall Neutrals

img_5818img_5821img_5825I wore this  outfit to class. I wanted to keep it simple, as always, but I also wanted to be a little less casual than usual. I decided to go with an all black outfit- my holy grail. The top is a simple long sleeved V neck and the ankle-length pants are Zara, but I bought them at a local thrift shop. They are slightly high waisted and have a lot of stretch to them, which I love. Also, they are ankle length, but I rolled them up to show off the booties. For a pop of color, I added my longline olive bomber jacket and the most comfortable pair of booties I own. Instead of doing a typical black shoe for this all black look, the tan shoes give more color and interest, and complements the olive jacket very well. Since the weather was descent this day, I rolled my sleeves up a little, which I think looked much better with the rolled up pants.

Get the Look:

Top: This is a basic top which you can find anywhere (H&M, Forever 21, Rainbow). I do not remember where I bought mine. It was probably no more than ($5).

Pants: Zara brand, but purchased at thrift shop ($12)

Camel Booties: Charlotte Russe ($12 on sale)

Mom Jeans and Camel Booties

Yesterday I went to a BRAG (Black Action Retail Group) event that featured panelists who work in the fashion industry. I kept it clean and simple, as always. I wore an olive green mock turtleneck crop top with high-waisted mom jeans and camel booties. The booties were on sale for only $12 at the time of purchase and are the most comfortable pair I own. However, the mom jeans steal the spotlight of this look. They are essential to any wardrobe and can be worn in any season. They are a classic in street-style fashion. I love them because they are comfortable, but also have a flattering form-fitting shape to them. A look like this can have a statement necklace to add boldness so that it is not too casual. I decided not to wear a statement piece because I wanted to go for a very minimal, yet sleek outfit.
