I’ve never blogged about the work I do as a designer since this is my personal style blog. However, today is an exception! I created a red evening gown to raise awareness for women with heart disease for one of my classes. Heart disease is the number one killer in women. My dress made it into the competition, as well as my school’s annual fashion show. To the event, I went with the red theme and wore a burgundy outfit. I found this really cool asymmetric bodysuit and paired it with a burgundy pencil skirt. I wore a tightly fitted blazer with black heels. As a statement piece, I wore a gold necklace and matched it with a thick bracelet. Finally, I put on my favorite hippie by Colourpop, LAX. It is the perfect maroon tone and it complements my skin very well. I felt this look was so easy to create and very classy and mature, which is what is was going for.

On a hot summer day, I wore a taupe sundress, a denim shirt, sneakers, and a faux snakeskin textured tote. It was in the high 90s, so I wanted to wear something lightweight and breathable. This thin knit dress was not too tight, so I was extremely comfortable. I love tying shirts around my waist to add my simple style. I chose this denim one because it complements the color of the dress. For shoes, of course I am wearing my Adidas Superstars. These go with literally everything. There are many different shoes you can wear to either dress your your look up or make it more casual. I wore sneakers because I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. To complete the look I added my faux leather snakeskin black tote bag to add one more color to the look and to match the stripes on my sneakers. You guys know I live for contrast- I also love how the black contrasts with the lightly colored dress and denim shirt. Lastly, the real statement piece of this look is the beautiful mosaic street art behind me, which I could not resist having a mini photoshoot in front of.
